Cathal O'Connor, Managing Director, C o r b e l 2009 - Current
Previous Experience:
Wilson Architecture, (1999-2003) - experience involved working in an organised design team environment to develop projects from sketch design through the various stages of the design process including planning permission, tender/ fire cert and construction/ site. Projects included a range of commercial work from shopping centres to light industrial/ office accommodation and pharmaceutical to residential. Experience was also gained from working in a design team at ARUP Consulting Engineers, Cork during this period on the expansion of the ELI LILLY facility at Kinsale, Co.Cork.
KJB Consulting Engineers & Architects, (2003-2007) - experience involved working closely with practice principal, developing concepts from sketch design/ client approval and delivering to an architectural team to develop through the design/ planning process to tender and construction stage. Negotiating efficient contractor appointments on projects was instrumental in achieving a harmonious delivery of projects at site operations stage where careful control of costs, building details and finishes culminated in exceptional turn-key products. Liaising with qualified in-house civil & structural engineering and fire consultants provided a unique and diverse platform to reconcile any design issues affecting the development of any project, resulting in a seamless delivery of projects at all times.
